Thursday March 12th
1-4 pm
Art Connection, San Antonio Tlayacapan
Step into the vibrant world of Friday Kahlo, an artist who transformed her pain into breathtaking beauty. In this hands-on collage workshop you'll explore Frida's bold use of color, symbolism and self-expression while creating your own artwork that reflects your life and inner world.
No prior art experience is necessary. The two experienced instructors, Cynthia Louden and Edward Martin, will guide you and help to weave together images, textures and colors to create a piece of art that is uniquely yours. We will provide a rich selection of materials including a choice of dozens of Fridas we created to cut up and use in your collage. There will be boxes of collage paper to choose from and printed symbols that were meaningful to Frida. Of course you are also welcome to bring your own personal items to incorporate into your work.
This workshop is more than just an art class; it is an opportunity to connect with your creativity, to celebrate the resilience of the human spirit, and to create a beautiful and meaningful piece of art that you will cherish for years to come.
Hope you will join us for an unforgettable afternoon of art. Space is limited so sign up soon.
